Asteroid Mining
I love asteroid mining. Seriously, I'm obsessed with it.
I've bought video games solely because the words, "mine asteroids," were on the box. When I create characters in science fiction settings I almost always have them be asteroid miners. Or least they grew up with asteroid mining parents.
Yes, I know this is odd. But, asteroid mining is so cool!
Now, James Cameron is on board. And I couldn't be happier.
So, to the powers that be: GET ON THIS!!

Skyscrapers of the Future
Over at io9 they were showing off some wild concepts for skyscrapers. I love stuff like this. Ever since I was a kid, I was always fascinated with futuristic designs for buildings. I wish more more being built these days.

The New Kind
The art in The New Kind looks amazing.
Sadly, the story sounds terrible. Well, maybe not terrible. It's just a rehash of standard sci-fi elements.
"Darvin and Yuka (17 and 18) fall in love but have never physically met — a psychic link connects them. They are The New Kind; The next link in Humanity's evolution. If they ever find each other, it will cause a chain reaction, instantly transforming all young people into god-like beings.
