What Will Make 'Terra Nova' Awesome?

A massive review of Terra Nova's third episode raises some questions. What will make the show great?

The reviewer suggests characterization and the focusing on the premise set up in the pilot (political instability, group conflict, etc.).

Sadly, that reviewer is wrong.

Characterization is great. I would like more, but that misses the main problem. Delving into group or interpersonal conflicts is the biggest mistake the producers could make.

What then?

Adventure. Yes, let me say it again, ADVENTURE.

Dinosaurs. Guns. Survival. Rescues. Quests. Searches. Races. Adventure is where Terra Nova will find it's greatness.

'Vintage Tomorrows' Trailer

Steampunk doc takes into futures that could have been. Fascinating stuff.

'The Wasteland' Trailer

Just found this. Looks cool. A small, post-apocalyptic revenge Western. I hope they make the feature.

These are really cool. It's great to see the ships from different movies and TV shows next to each other.

'Nuclear Dawn' Gameplay & Pics

Yes, I'm into the post-apocalyptic genre. This game looks pretty cool. I'll probably never be able to play it, but I love looking at the art.

Check the specs:

"Nuclear Dawn is the first game to offer a full FPS and RTS experience, within a single gameplay model, without crippling or diluting either side of the game.

As a soldier, explore war-torn post-apocalyptic landscapes, modelled on modern cities, and take the fight to your enemies as armoured, assault or stealth infantry, using various weapons across ten distinct load-outs to accomplish your objectives. The first person shooter action in Nuclear Dawn is hard, fast and unforgiving, with weapons that rely on skill and tactics more than on twitch reflexes and map memorization.

Then, take Nuclear Dawn above the action, and play as the commander. Organize your fellow players in squads, and assign them to tactical objectives. Plan the resource routes for your army, and production of your structures for forward deployment. Exploit the terrain and resource point locations to block your enemies' advance, and crush their plans in an iron fist. Research and implement new technologies to give your soldiers the edge on the battlefield, and set up forward bases to lead the assault on your enemies, with a full complement of defensive and offensive structures to choose from, to build your perfect fortress."

'The Collapsed' Trailer

The second trailer for the small post-apocalyptic/horror flick, The Collapsed, has been released. Here's the lowdown on the movie:

"In the wake of the end of the world, a family of four desperately tries to survive against insurmountable odds. Their goal: escaping the city and traveling to the rural community they once called home, Dover's Bend. The constant threat of a violent death forcing them to stay as far away from civilization as possible, they take to the forest, soon to discover the danger posed by other survivors may be the least of their worries."

'Dry' Trailer

A post-apocalyptic indie looks to stun. Dry asks, "what if we run out of water?"
