Leonard Nimoy - The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins

I love Leonard Nimoy. Seriously, I do. He's an amazing actor, writer and director.

The work he did to improve Star Trek III and Star Trek IV was simply incredible. His rescue of Three Men and a Baby is Hollywood legend.

But a singer? Not so much.

I know lots of people give him grief for The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins, but TV in the 50's and 60's was a launching ground for singing careers. 

For me, it combines two great loves: Leonard Nimoy and The Hobbit.

I've heard worse songs and seen worse music videos. Really, I have.

But, The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins is so entertaining. How can it be bad?

Anyway, have you ever heard William Shatner sing, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds?

Asteroid Mining

I love asteroid mining. Seriously, I'm obsessed with it.

I've bought video games solely because the words, "mine asteroids," were on the box. When I create characters in science fiction settings I almost always have them be asteroid miners. Or least they grew up with asteroid mining parents.

Yes, I know this is odd. But, asteroid mining is so cool!

Now, James Cameron is on board. And I couldn't be happier.
